Managing Director Silliker Netherlands B.V.
Since 2018 I am the Managing Director at Mérieux NutriSciences (MxNS). MxNS is dedicated to protecting consumers’ health throughout the world, by delivering a wide range of analyses and supporting services to secure food & water quality. The diversity of activities and working together with my enthusiastic colleagues to provide the right solutions for our customers is what motivates me! After completing my MSc study Food Science & Technology and PhD at Wageningen University, I worked for a short period as PostDoc at Wageningen University. In 1998, I joined NIZO food research; a (private) contract research company active in the food and life-sciences business. I played a crucial role transforming NIZO from a Dutch dairy research institute to an international contract research company for food & health. I held several positions at NIZO from 1998 to 2018. From 2008 – 2018 I was as operations director member of the MT and shareholder of NIZO, responsible for all the R&D divisions and supporting services. I represented NIZO amongst others in the Top Institute for Food & Nutrition and Protein Competence Center.
I am a driven director with good networking opportunities thanks to the extensive experience in the contract laboratories. A "We cannot carry out an analysis" does almost not exist due to our expertise and perseverance. By setting priorities and being able to switch quickly, we have been able to carry out specific assignments for our customers on several occasions. Through our customer focus and proactive attitude in combination with our independence, we have amply demonstrated to maintain a stable value within our niche markets.
Director Gezondheidsdienst voor Dieren B.V.
Kris Van Malderen has been active in the consultancy world for over 30 years, with lab data always playing a profound role. After studying at the Wageningen Agricultural University (WUR, The Netherlands), Kris first worked at AnteaGroup, where environmental consultancy and analysis prevailed. Since a few years, Kris is working at Royal GD with a focus on veterinary aspects. Veterinary primarily means immunology, microbiology, molecular biology and chemistry. So a broad and complex package. In particular because samples from all over the world are flown in to Deventer in view of the broad (more than 1000 types of analyses) and innovative character (R&D group of more than 30 employees). As a director, the focus is less on the daily operational aspects. International expansion, management of participations, partnerships with suppliers and customers and long-term developments make the work fascinating every day!
